As you will know I’m a huge fan of Karen Millen and Glossybox so I was delighted to hear that they had partnered to celebrate London Fashion Week with a limited edition London skyline box.

Karen millen_box_whiteThis special edition GLOSSYBOX incudes  L’Oreal Mythic Hair Masks and Oil, Origins Anti-Aging Serum, Nails Inc Top Coat, Model Co. Brow Gel and Skin Pep enzyme peel, just to name a few. These brands are the perfect beauty selection to get you runway-ready this September.

The iconic London skyline sketch has been created by the in-house Karen Millen illustrator as part of their AW14 collection. This September GLOSSYBOX have featured the stunning design on their monthly beauty box to celebrate all things British over London Fashion Week.

The Karen Millen GLOSSYBOX is €15 and will be available throughout September 2014 from www.glossybox.co.uk while stocks last.

So anyone who know me knows my favourite store is Karen Millen and i’m delighted to announce that they have launched an exclusive competition called #THEKMJOURNEY.

For a chance to win a covetable piece from the stunning Karen Millen AW14 campaign, simply share the teaser with your friends using the hashtag #KMTHEJOURNEY.

The competition closes at 12pm (GMT) on Friday 22nd August 2014 and winners will be selected at random and announced the following week.

Good luck,

As always leopardstown was buzzing on Thursday evening. Johnny Marr from The Smiths didn’t disappoint his fans and to top it off the sun was shining again!

The style didn’t disappoint and if you want to be in with a chance of winning a €1,000 voucher for Brown Cow beauty boutiques, next week is your last chance so make sure you’re there. I’ve already ordered the sun, The Charlatans are playing and the craic will be mighty. Its the last week so we’ll all be in party mode and Sue Kelly the CEO of Brown Cow has even promised to throw some shapes on the dance floor… Cameras ready!!

Our winner louise Allen is a self confessed EBay addict and so her dress from Peter Pilotto and her Christian Louboutin shoes were both from EBay. Her hat was Edel Ramberg and bag was Penneys.

Well what an cracker of a day and the races were packed this evening. We met so many bubbly and fun girls who also looked fantastic which made the decision really hard. I would say its been the toughest week yet. Our top three were Anne White, Cheryl De Guill and Loreen de Faoite.

Our winner was Loreen who was wearing a beautiful dress from River Island that she teamed with a belt from penneys. Her shoes were River Island too and her hat was from Jasper Conran.

In second place was Cheryl McGuill from Dundalk who bought both her dress and shoes (Vivenne Westwood) at Neola boutique in Dundalk and they also have a shop in Malahide.

24th 2nd

Finally our third place this evening was Anne White. Her polka dots made me smile and they matched her incredible energy and personality. She also let us in on a little secret about her attic where she stores lots of great fashion treasures and surprises. Her dress was red herring from Debenhams. The shoes and bag are from the attic!!

3rd prize

I chose white this week from Karen Millen, my shoes were from Menbur and my headpiece was from the very talented Sophie Hunter

Well if you fancy your chances at winning a €1,000 voucher for Brown Cow then get the girlies together and come and see us at the next meeting on the 7th of August.

Till then from myself and Sue Kelly of Brown Cow,

xxxx

Another great week of racing and the sunshine gods were out in force. Fab weather, fab people and fab music. Our entries were at an all time high and we’re delighted with our winners. Each and every week Brown Cow beauty salons give out an amazing prize of a €1000 voucher for 1st prize. This weeks lucky winner was Emilia Sobalak. I loved the orange and black combination. Her dress was from Ted Baker, she bought her hat in Greece. Her neckpiece was from Dunnes Stores, bag Gucci and shoes Penneys which proves that mixing designer and high street really works!

Brown Cows guest judge this evening was Donna Fitzpatrick from Social and Personal magazine. We both agreed that the girls we picked were true winners and encapsulated fun, summer and we even had a mum to be Claire who looked fantastic at 34 weeks pregnant with a toddler at home and any mum knows how difficult that can be so we hope she enjoys some pampering with her €500 voucher. I loved the simplicity of her summer look. Her dress was from Debenhams and her beige wedges are from Penneys.

Our final lady in third place this week winning a €250 voucher was Lisa Watts. Her dress was Miss Selfridge, her bag and shoes New Look and her headpiece was none other than Claires accessories which proves that to be a winner it doesn’t have to cost the earth.

My dress is from Karen Millen and my headpiece is from the amazing Sophie Hunter,

Hope to see you and your girlies next week xxx

Well the rain didn’t stop us this evening although it did make my journey on the M50 slow and tedious. The ladies still came out in style and once again we’re delighted with our winners. The prizes are so incredible I would strongly urge you to get your glad rags on and come down over the next few weeks and enter…

Our winner Pamela Shealy was wearing a beautiful floral print dress from oasis that she bought for a christening a couple of weeks ago and she made the hat herself last night!!

I absolutely love Coast and when I saw this dress I knew it was perfect. I also wore it for a fashion show so have had my eye on it for a while. Its €120 and in stores now.

I love the little cardigan in navy and they also have it in black. Its great for the summer months and has a beautiful sheer back making it great for dressing up or down.

The headpiece is William Chambers for Coast. Its €55 which I think is very well priced for a designer headpiece. It was incredibly comfortable to wear and for a summers evening I didn’t want to be too OTT so I felt it was nice and delicate.

I wore my new nude suede shoes from Karen Millen and when I was presenting the prizes I sunk into the grass making the heels mucky and did I spray them with protector?? Of course not! Any tips on cleaning suede is much appreciated???

Hi everyone,

I was very excited when Xpose magazine rang to ask me to do Closet Encounters. I’m a bit of a stickler when it comes to brands as you can see and I’m always a fan of wearing what suits you. Throughout the years as a model I have tried to be on trend and failed miserably as some trends simply did not suit me. Instead i now try to wear clothes that suit my figure and that I feel comfortable in. Most Karen Millen dresses fit my figure perfectly and I feel very at home in their clothes. I’m also a big fan of River Island (especially their jeans) and one of my favourite shops is still Penneys where I just bought all new workout gear.

I hope you like the article below. Don’t forget you can follow me on twitter https://twitter.com/alicanavan  and Facebook www.facebook.com/alisoncanavanofficial for all my latest news.
